Forerun's system architecture is based on InterSystems' high-performance post relational database and application development environment, Caché, and leverages a browser independent user interface that can operate on any device (PCs, Tablets, etc.).Forerun ED™ is able to function in a broad array of hardware and operating system environments. With Caché's object-oriented scripting language and server pages, the Forerun ED™ combines fast and effective technology for database management with a full deployment of scalable browser based applications. Our developers use state-of-the-art web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, Caché Object Script, SQL, Ensemble, XML, and others) coupled with a high-speed database to provide powerful applications with simple and intuitive user interfaces.
The Forerun ED™ also leverages InterSystems' Ensemble to integrate seamlessly with a hospital's other systems (lab, radiology, registration, etc.) to provide real-time information to emergency department staff. This technology helps Forerun quickly integrate with existing hospital applications using industry standard data interchange formats (HL7, SOAP, ANSI X12, etc.) or custom formats as needed.
We provide secure hosting services as an option to customers who prefer a hosted solution with local access and management of the data coupled with a reduced local information technology footprint. This is managed so that our customers get secure storage of data, real-time backup, and monitoring tools specifically designed to actively alert customer-care technicians to potential issues often before they are apparent to the end user.
